France

1: Paris

Paris. Is it as romantic and beautiful as it looks in the movies? My answer has to be no, it is not. Don’t get me wrong.. I think everyone should experience it once. The Eiffel Tower when sparkling at night is for sure a magical dream!! But behind this beauty is a dirty, rude city with a lot of homeless people. You also need to be aware of your surroundings at all times as Paris is high for pick pocketing.

TIP: Paris is a large city. To get around we actually found it to be a smart option to use the “hop on hop off” bus as transportation. It brings you to every spot you want to see.

(Only drive this round about if you’re comfortable with crazy!)

2: Nice

Nice is located on the French Rivera. Southern France is a different world with its nice weather and deep blue waters.

Castle Hill

Take a swim in the Mediterranean Ocean.

3: Alsace Region

Alsace Region is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. With its medieval buildings and cobbled stone streets with wineries surrounding every village. I HIGHLY recommend seeing these cities/villages.

Alsace is also very hot and lush in the summer months, my photos are gloomy as we visited during the winter season. Hopefully one day I’ll make it back to see it in the warm season but the winter had it pros with the many Christmas markets it has.

STRASBOURG

Strasbourg is in northern eastern France and its right near the German border. Strasbourg hosts one of the most famous Christmas markets in the world. Try to stay in Le Petit France surrounding streets, as the rest of the city isn’t as nice and old.

COLMAR

Colmar is located 48 minutes from Strasbourg. Beauty and the Beast’s town was actually inspired from Colmar’s old town. It is also located on the Alsace wine route, unfortunately I travelled here in the winter season, but I definitely recommend checking the vineyards out.

Little Venice

KAYSERSBERG

Also located on the Alsace vineyard route, Kaysersberg is located 21 minutes from Colmar.

EGUISHEIM

I swear photos don’t do this place justice, it was a fairytale with its medieval buildings. Eguisheim is 17 minutes from Kaysersberg.
