Lagos, Portugal

Some additional info: We stayed in a nice airbnb in walking distance of Lagos Portugal for 30 euros a night. We flew into Lisbon and drove 3 hours south to get here. I know there are closer airports, but this was the cheapest option at the time :) I also recommend renting a car while you are here so you have the flexibility to move around at your own pace!

DAY 1:

Start your day off with some breakfast at the Black & White Cafe in the town of Lagos.

After a 6 min drive you will arrive at the stunning, Camilo Beach

Next head over to Ponta Da Piedade. (about a 13 min drive)

Spend the remaining of your afternoon relaxing at Porto De Mos (6 min drive). You can actually see this beach in the distance from Ponta Da Piedade! Make sure to grab some sangria at the near by restaurants.

There’s many spots to see the sunset in this area, but we recommend heading back to Ponta Da Piedade to catch a beautiful view of the sunset. (6 min drive).

DAY 2:

Start your morning off by beating the rush to Benagil Cave! This is a 35 min drive from Lagos. Now there are multiple options of different boat tours to see multiple caves. With limited time, we decided to only kayak to Benagil Cave (2 min kayak). I’ve heard the whole boat tour is amazing so I recommend doing some research and choose which option suites you more! This cave was the highlight of the trip!!

Praia da Marinha is a 6 min drive and is also surrounded in beautiful rocks and beaches. Try to find the rocks that form a shape of a heart.

End your day off watching the sunset at Praia Dos Tres Irmaos. (30 min heading back to Lagos)

DAY 3:

YUM! Another great breakfast spot to hit is Coffee & Waves in Lagos.

Walk 9 minutes out of town and you’ll reach Praia dos Estudantes which has a remarkable photogenic bridge between the rocks.

Only if you have some extra time and are looking for adventure, you can drive 1 hour and check out the Estoi Palace. Preferable it’s not worth the drive but by all means check it out if you’re in the area or have time.

On your way back (45 min) stop into the ADORABLE town of Ferragudo where you will find “greece like” buildings and flowers all over the buildings.

Last but definitely not least!! Head over to Praia da Barriga. The most beautiful black rocks and giant layered cliffs. This may just have been our favourite spot. (1 hr from Ferragudo or 45 min from Lagos)

Thank you so much for reading!! Portugal is such a beautiful country and I hope you all have the chance to explore it some day!!! Reach out if you have any questions! :) <3
